Cates Auction presents this Fabulous 1953 Hudson Hornet Classic Race Car. The seller purchased the vehicle in 2002. Since then it has been featured in the Kansas City Star and shown in car shows including; the Kansas City Art of the Car Concours and the Concours D’Elegance. The odometer reads 4,130. The owners have installed seat belts in the front and back seats (waist only). The starter may have been rebuilt at some point. The headliner has been replaced. The car has been repainted black, but as it was believed to originally be black. The interior has been restored. It is blue velvet-like seats and vinyl trim. There is some rust on the perimeter frame and some areas of repair. There is some rust on the body. Most of the lights work including the hood emblem light, license plate light, headlights, brake lights, parking lights and some of the interior courtesy lights. The fan works.
